The grapes that produced this Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) were from Franz Keller's best sites, and from old & young vines, grown in tephrite rich soil. The wine was matured in barriques (old oak casks).
This Grauburgunder has an impressive acidity and with hints of fruit. Tarragon and lemon cut through rich flavours with a striking refreshment. A dry wine, it has flavours of honey, pink grapefruit and a filigree structure. On the nose it is smokey and surly.
