The red wine of this estate is mash fermented in the traditional method that is also common in Burgundy, followed by malolactic and aging in big wooden casks. Combined with hand harvesting and intense vineyard management, this very gentle processing leads to age-worthy wines.
A fine, ripe and unobtrusive bouquet of preserved wild strawberries and red cherry compote. Lean and lively on the palate. Full-bodied and complex, yet filigree, easy drinking and with a very discreet tannin. The slightly smoky aroma of dried berries in the finish. A typical representative of the warm 2105 vintage.
This Spätburgunder is ready to drink now but also will gain additional harmony and elegance.
