Site: Ilbesheiemer Westerberg is the west slope of the "keinek Kalmit" . The "Mleinek Kalmit" is a little hill (272m) that was formed during the Tertiary and the sinking of the Upper Rhine Rift. The area around the Keline Kalmit Hill in the Palatinate is called the classical square mile of geology, because it consists of a unique combination of rocks. The soil is extremely calcareous. The upper layer consists of clay.
What makes this wine special are the cool morning temperatures and long evening sun. The not so "hot" site on the Kalmit brings ripe, healthy grapes with a crispy acidity.

Wine: Elegant yellow fruit, highly aromatic, fine chalky grip, long finish, fine balance, sent of apricot and white peach, fresh juiciness and nice slightly softer acid structure.

Vinification: After the elective hand-picking, the grapes are sorted again in the winery and processed very gently to obtain the best possible finesse, freshness and tension. The grapes are only lightly crushed. Without maceration, the grapes are pressed, lightly pre-clarified and fermented with natural yeasts. Maturation in stainless steel.
