The “PECHSTEIN” was harvested by hand in mid-October in several selections. The grapes were carefully pressed and the must was fermented in a stainless-steel tank. After the fermentation, the wine was then left for another four months on the yeast and was bottled in June 2015.
The “PECHSTEIN” is again a very powerful, almost spicy Riesling Cru with minerality and a rich fruit structure. Aromas of ripe peach and yellow plums, even herbal notes combined with the mineralic spice give a lot of character to the wine. Enjoy the “PECHSTEIN” now as a young and powerful Riesling or within the next few years when the richness and the "Terroir" character increases.
