Ockfen is an ancient wine town located in one of the Saar River’s tributaries. It became famous through its outstanding vineyard site of “Ockfener Bockstein”, which is a steep, south-facing slope. The soil consists of hard, gravelly slate rock, which has a very fine, powdery surface easily absorbed by the vines’ roots. This results in wines with a great mineral impact.
We picked just the best and ripest grapes for this rich and elegant Auslese. The expressive fruit and the enormous length are typical for Saar wines of that quality.
A refined spicy with gentle caress of flowers and spice. Opulent flavours led by a racy fruit. Gossamer lace with a long, lingering finish.
Delicious with dessert dishes such as blue cheeses, elderflower ice cream, hot rasberries served over vanilla ice cream.
