Dr Heger 2019 Ihringer Winklerberg Rappeneck Weissburgunder Premier Cru Dry White Wine

Dr Heger 2019 Ihringer Winklerberg Rappeneck Weissburgunder Premier Cru dry

Regular price £41.99

"Yellow plum, nectarine, lovage fennel bulb. Nice grip and tension across the width of the palate. A little nutmeg and allspice define the spicy framework, especially towards the finish, but within that is this dynamic, bold, golden, herb-scented fruit. This will reward further ageing." / Tamlyn Currin @ Jancis Robinson / 17 points

Tasting notes: This Weissburgunder Premier Cru has Intense aromas of ripe mirabelle and lime tree blossom, with a hint of citrus. As well on the palate flavours of candied lemon peel and white almonds. Underlined with a discrete and remarkably fiingree minerality. Lovely vivid fruit full of freshness and brilliance on the first impression on the palate. Crystalline texture, elegant and rich in finesse. Very charming, but at the same time with a filinfree acidity structure, subtle spiciness and fine minerality in the finish.

Character: The vineyard parcel Winklen lies within the Ihringer Winklerberg site and has nick-named "Rappeneck" since a long time. This lot is situated on an exposed point of land on a soil of limey and fertile loose rock with higher loess content. Due to their body, luscious fruit and richness on the aroma, these wines are showing their potential already early in their youth.

Food recommendation: A superb wine along with poached or pan-fried fish dishes, oysters and crustaceans, as well as pasta dishes.
