The Winkeler Hasensprung vineyard site is located very close to Schloss Johhanisberg. This vineyard on the so-called "Hill of Splendor" of the Rheingau produces some of the best and finest wines in the region.
The name Hasensprung (literally translated, "Rabitt's Jump") comes from the realm of animals. In the past rabbits were considered as symbols of fertility and the rabbit lent its name to this vineyard dur to its large population in the fields. In the village of Winkel, the locals tell the story that the fields in the vineyard were so narrow that a rabbit could jump over them.
The wine has an srtful play of aromas of tropical fruits ans the smooth taste gives from a wooden barrel. This Hasensprung has an intense taste with long finish.
This wine with its agreeable residual sugar is the perfect wine for a dinner with firends. It compliments your main course perfectly with its strong character.
