The “Jesuitengarten” is one of the very best vineyards in the whole wine-growing area of Pfalz in Germany. It is situated on a slope above the village of “Frost” on its western brim.
The grapes were picked and sorted by hand, pressed over 6 hours, settled for 24 hours, fermented in traditional oak barrel (Stückfass) on 1200 Liters.
Soil: Sandy loam, sandstone rocks, high concentration of iron in the soil, partly basalt.
On the nose: Flint, lime and peach.
On the palate: Very minerally Riesling with fresh acidity. The wine remains long on the palate.
Food recommendation: Perfect with white meat, fish and seafood.
Alcohol: 12,5% vol.
Acidity: 1,2 g/l
Res. sugar: 7,2 g/l
