"Chalky, dry, stemmy. herbal. Correct and well discriplined. Nice salty finish." / Tamlyn Currin @ Jancis Robinson / 16 points
Vineyard: The Leinhöhle is situated on the western brim of Deidesheim next to Kieselberg and Paradiesgarten. The vineyard is south-facing and close to the forest. So it gets a lot of sun during the day and cool wind during the night.
Cellar: The grapes were softly pressed and the must settled for 24 hours. The fermentation took place in traditional oak with natural yeast.
Tasting notes: This dry white wine has a fresh & vibrant acidity, a long persistence and is very mineralic. On the nose is has aromas of bitter orange, wet gravel stones and lime.
Harvest: Selective picking in the beginning of October.
Soil: Eroded sandstone and loam.
Alcohol: 12,5% vol.
Res. sugar: 2,8 g/l
Acidity: 8,4 g/l
