Becker's Spätburgunder B is a clear, ruby red wine. It is dry, juicy and elegant, with good length and structure. It has fine aromas of wild berries, tobacco, spices and forest floor.
The grapes that produced this German Pinot Noir were grown in the Schweigen vineyards, near the German/French border. The vines there are 15 to 36 years old.
The grapes were hand selected and de-stemmed. Before being pressed, the grapes were macerating for 14 to 21 days to extract all the flavours and aromas from the grape skins. The juice was fermented in oak barrels separated and matured for 16 months. The Spätburgunder was then bottled without filtration.
