Vineyard: The are located around Schweigen on French and German side.
Age of the vines between 27 and 52 years.
Winemaking: The grapes were carefully selected by hand, descaled and fermented separately from the mash. After 2 up to 3 weeks fermentation in open oak vasks, they were gently juiced. The further maturation took place for 16 months in small oak barrels called barrique. The wine is bottles without filtration.
Wine: Pleasant, clear ruby red with dark reflections.
On the nose flavours of blackberries, tobacco, plums, spices and vanilla notes.
On the palate juicy, elegant with good length and structure.
Alcohol: 13,5% vol.
Res. sugar: 0,3 g/l
Acidity: 6,2 g/l
