"Diaphanous fruit, sour cherries, woodland strawberries, delicate spices, mouth-filling despite its gauzy structure. Beautiful acidity. Read direction and raciness. Lone lines. Tiny shadows. Nooks and crannies. I see what he means about the chocolate; it's raspberries rolled in cacao dust. Beautifully stitched into the finish." / Tamlyn Currin @ Jancis Robinson / 17.5 points
Bercher's Spätburgunder Premier Cru is a velvety ruby red with aromas of sweet and sour cherry. This dry wine has hints of dark chocolate, bitter orange and figs. It has a gentle balanced tannin structure on the palate, with a minerally juiciness in the finish.
Vinification: Mash fermentation for 18 days and then 24 month in barrique (oak barrels).
Food Recommendation: Pairs perfectly with rabbit wiht dried plums and rosemary jus, as well as rack or lamb with tapenade crust.
