Bischel's 2019 Estate Riesling has clear fruit flavours of apricot and citrus. Complex and spicy on the palate, it has aromas of ripe peaches. A classic Riesling with a fine, mineralic and crispy finish.
The grapes used to produce this Riesling were harvested from 10-20 years old vines in the vineyard around Appenheim and Gau-Algsheim. The soil in these vineyards is rich in clay and limestone.
All grapes were carefully selected and picked by hand. The vinification process involved maceration on skin, must clarification and fermentation with natural yeast in steel tanks until January. Afterwards, maturation occurred on the lees until bottling in March.
