Barrel fermented, 11 months in barrel and 100% malolactic fermentation. RS < 0.5 g/l. Quite rich and creamy, banoffi-like aromas. But much greener on the palate, long and salty and chewy, pine resin notes. (Tamlyn Currin – JancisRobinson.com)
Juicy, deep and discreetly creamy bouquet of ripe yellow apples, pears tarte, very fine hints of spices and vanilla, and a touch of butterscotch. Marvellously silky texture on the palate. A dense but not overloaded body. A nicely integrated acidity gives structure and finesse. All elements are tightly knit adn in perfect harmony with the masterly integrated wood. An aroma of yellow tropical fruits and fine nutty and smoky hints is backed with a subtly creamy minerality. Silky but nevertheless very fresh texture in the long lasting finish.
Food recommendation:Fun ideal wine along with roasted or grilled fish, hearty roasts or Mediterranean fare. Equally good with various cheeses.
