"Perfect it's power of suggestion, but I fond this smelt like red-apple skin. A delicious earthiness supporting crunchy bright, polished-glass clarity of fruit. A real palate wake up, like a bowl of cool, just-chopped fruit salad. Transmitting terroir with a generous dose of down-to-earth pleasure." / Tamlyn Currin @ Jancis Robinson / 16 points
The grapes are grown on the valley slopes of the Nahe river. The vineyards are very steep and absolutely southbound here. The soil is slightly reddish, which is an indication for ferrous oxide - a substance that is responsible for the development of the wine's peach and apricot aromas.
The grapes were picked in the middle of October, fermented with indigenous yeast and produced 6,000 bottles of wine.
The perfect accompaniment to light meat, lean pork or veal.
