Göttelmann's dry Riesling shows a light yellow colour in the glass. Little bubbles indicate a lively freshness. Its tropical fruit bouquet has aromas of lychee and white currant. The wine's solid acidity is perfectly balanced by its slight sweetness.
The grapes used to produce this wine were grown in south-east facing vineyards, just a few kilometres from the mouth of the Nahe River and at the beginning of the wild romantic Middle Rhine Highlands. The age of the vines there ranges from 12 to 30 years. The black slate soil of the southerly slopes collects the warmth of the sun's rays during the day, and gives out the stored heat at night.
Grapes were picked during the second week of October. Fermentation and maturation took place in temperature controlled steel tanks. Only 5,000 of this vintage were produced.
Food recommendation: The freshness of this dry white wine makes it the perfect accompaniment for fish, veal and poultry.
