Winner of Wines of Germany's 'Germany's Winning Weins 2021'.
Judge Merlin Ramos (Independent Sommelier & Wine Consultant)
"Yellow green gold, rich mango skin aroma and floral element, a weightiness to the concentration, great acidity, the structure is full and the wine is balanced. Excellent value for money."
Anne Krebiehl (Wine Writer & Educator and Master of Wine)
"Lovely and subtle nose of white fruit and summer meadow, palate is rounded, textured but fresh - a crowd-pleaser."
Bert Blaize (Wine Writer)
"Big, rich textural palate which keeps going and developing. Nice bit of minerals coming through like crushed gravel."
"Sonett" is an internal qualification for high quality dry wine. This Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) is both appealing to drink 'al fresco' on the terrace and it an excellent accompaniment to meals.
This dry white wine is fresh, balanced and lively, with a fine density and ripe acidity. It has a radiant aroma of light apples, lemon curd and meadow flowers. It has flavours of light tropical fruits on the palate and nice citrus notes in the finish.
Dr Heger's Weissburgunder has an accessible charm combined with a lively nature. It is an incredibly versatile wine.
Through handpicking and gentle treatment during pressing and ageing, the wine has already reached drinking maturity and can stored for an other 2 to 3 years.
