The Schondorfer Trollinger originates from a high quality vineyard with VDP.ORTSWEINE classification. The terroir there gives this dry red wine its unique and characterful sense of expression.
Schorndorf is the last town in the east of the Remstal wine region, so the climate is slightly colder, which gives the wine greater elegance and lightness.
A ruby red wine, it is light in body and offers an inviting bouquet of fresh red berries, such as strawberries and raspberries, as well as subtle hints of cherry and touch of floral notes.
On the palate, this Trollinger is light and refreshing, characterised by its tannin content and lively acidity. Flavours of red berries and raspberries, dominate, accompanied by a gentle earthness and a hint of herbal undertones.
The wine matured in 100 year old large wooden barrels.
