"The more site-specific the origin of a wine, the higher its quality." ...has, for centuries, been the guiding principle of Schloss Reinhartshausen.
Schloss Reinhartshausen's vineyards are maintained and managed with a great deal of life blood, expertise and plenty of manual labour. Healthy, ripe grapes create the best wine, which is the best ambassador of its origin. After careful hand selection and gentle pressing, the quality from the vineyard is preserved and developed further in the cellar.
This Spätburgunder is produced from grapes picked from the Höllenberg vineyard. It's steep slopes have a high slate content. Höllenberg is a site renowned for producing full-bodied Grand Cru red wines with a rich bouquet and of top international class.
Schloss Reinhartshausen's Spätburgunder Grand Cru has a captivating bouquet of blackcurrant and blackberry, as well as a delightful spiciness. On the palate it has flavours of lavender, paired with tannins and a fine mineral structure. A grand wine with great potential, newly presenting itself with each glass poured.
