This Grand Cru site is amongst the best in the world. For the cellar masters of Schloss Reinhartshausen, it is both an honor and a pleasure to be able to accompany these benchmark sites. The grapes of these Grand Cru are gently pressed by horizontal wooden presses involving intense manual labor.
The Siegelsberg site extends over the sites "Schlossberg" and "Marcobrunn" in direction of Hattenheim where it borders on the site "Wisselbrunnen". The soil differs from the Malcobrunn be fewer portions of clay and his marl structure. The microclimate cooler average annual temperature and extraordinary good air circulation in the vineyard influence the character of the wines of the Siegelsberg and make it stronger and fruity.
This first growth vineyard site with a reduced amount of yields brings out powerful and elegant Riesling. The fermentation took place in a peace barrel, 1200 liters. This discreet woody note underlines the Riesling flavors of peach and apricots and the wine special sustainability.
