Crystal clear fruit, dry Riesling with characteristics of citrus and white fruit flavours. Well balanced fruit acidity with a zesty mineral finish.
The St. Anna winery lies amidst the natural reserve area "Haardtrand-Palatine Forrest", just above the village of Burrweiler/ Southern Wine Street. Being named after the nearby and well known place of pilgrimage the "St. Anna Chapel", the vineyards belong to the Sankt Anna monopole site. Hence only wines grown on these vineyards are allowed to be named after the St. Anna hill. The hills south-east alignment complemented by the rather steep gradient allows us to take advantage of nature's extraordinary diversity on order to create light, yet flavoursome wines.
However it's aromatics are especially dependent on the meagre soil, the hills slope and the accordingly cold nights.
