The region’s best known vineyards are situated around Erbach and Hattenhein, the best centre of the “mid Rheingau”. Schloss Rheinhartshausen lies in the heart of this unique terroir and is able to draw from this legendary wealth of top sites. All these sites are Premier Cru classified: Nussbrunnen, Wisselbrunnen, Siegelsberg & Hohenrain. Every wine from one of these sites is different and outstanding.
This site which is only 18 hectares has a primary lighter tertiary marl soil. Deep loess also runs through the Wisselbrunnen which guarantees an excellent water supply.
The freshness of fine mineral fruit elements is one of the typical characteristics from the wines from the Wisselbrunnen. Delicate aromas of apple, the evolving bouquet of apricots and peaches give the wine a unique smell, while the play between the acidity and the residual sugar continues. This wine is a perfect partner with Asian food.
