A modern, crispy, dry Riesling with intense flavours and a spicy exotic aroma.
The grapes used to produce the "Melaphyr" wine the grapes were grown on steep, south-facing slopes which have soil rich in volcanic rock and therefore warm up quickly and store the heat. The vines here are around 10 years old. Grapes for this wine were picked by hand after a very long growing season in late October.
After a maceration period of around six hours, the grapes were gently pressed in a temperature controlled environment and fermented with natural yeast.
