The wine comes from vineyards with blue slate in Mehring at the Mosel river and from vineyards with red slate in Wiltingen at the Saar river.
Distinctive echoes of wet stone are accentuated by a delicate smokiness and blended with the ripe fruits and a sophisticated finish.
Goes well with dishes such as grilled pork, veal chops, vegetable lasagne and Swabian raviolis with potato salad.
