This Riesling Grand Cru from the top site Julius-Echter-Berg is one of the premium wines on the site. Promises concentrated and powerful wines with a strong character.
The distinctive mineral notes reflecting the terrors and the aroma of ripe peach define the character of this Grand Cru. Additionally, the fine hints of citrus notes provide a pleasant tension on the palate. The crips, but subtle acidity gives the wine its delicate structured body and truly animates to enjoy the next sip. Thanks to its lingering finish it allows an even longer enjoyment.
To create such a premium wine a great deal of work was necessary for both the wine cellar and the vineyard. In the early stage of ripeness, for example, we divided each grape to ensure perfect conditions of the future vegetation process and to reduce the number of grapes and the vine. Enabling the growth and efficiency of the vine to concentrate on the few grapes left.
Enjoy this wine together with fine dishes such a fish, all kinds of vegetables or light meat. It is also a perfect match to creamy sauces.
This Riesling was awarded 95 points by both the Decanter Asia Wine Award 2018 and the Canberra International Wine Challenge 2019: "Stony minerality with vibrant lime and tangerine. Rick density of fruit and sparkling acidity."
On the nose characterized by mineral notes coming from the soil, wild herb notes, ripe peach, honey, melon, grapefruit, white pepper, with a hint of exotic yellow fruits.
On the palate spicy, strong yet smooth, herbal type, characterized by mineral notes coming from the soil, fry, evolves slowly on the palate.
