Weingut Hans Wirsching has revolutionised the wines produced in Franken by being the first wine maker to create Kosher wine in this area of Germany. The 2016 Iphöfer Silvaner dry (kosher) VDP. village wine has been specially created for the Kosher company ‘Gefen Hashalom'.
The production of this one of a kind wine was overseen by the Rabbi Mendel Edelman of Luxembourg to ensure all religious laws were followed to create an exemplary Kosher wine, therefore having the seal of ‘Kosher for Passover”. However, the 2016 Silvaner is not a mevushal wine.
The 2016 Iphöfer Silvaner dry (kosher) VDP. Village wine is refreshingly delicious and very typical of a Silvaner which is easily paired with seafood and light summer dishes.
