Wine: This Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) has a mineralic taste, as well as excellent substance, elegance and smooth tannins. The red wine has aromas of morello cherry, blackberry and raspberry, accompanied by vanilla and smoky, roasted notes.
Soil: The vineyard where these Spätburgunder grapes were grown is rich in slate and greywacke sandstone.
Vinification: The fully ripened grapes are selected by hand and gently crushed. Must fermentation and maceration takes place over 20 days. The wine is matured in barriques (French oak barrels) for 10 months.
Drinking recommendation: This Spätburgunder pairs well with poultry, light meat, pasta and mushrooms, as well as grilled fish.
