This Riesling Auslese has intense aromas of ripe peach with a hint of lychee. It is powerful with an excellent body. This wine has a crystal clear structure with a wonderful play of sweetness and acidity.
Vineyard: Between Hallgarten and Assmannshäusen, where the river Rhine changes it's otherwise always straight course, the vines grow there sheltered by the Taunus mountain range. Due to the change of direction, the vineyards are south-facing and are therefore blessed with warm sunlight. The versatile grounds from loess to quartzite offer many facets.
The Hasensprung is one of Allendorf's best vineyards. Know for its deep loam, loess soils, the grapes that are grown there produce well-structured and intense wines.
Food Recommendation: Great partner to spicy food, strong cheese and classic to foie gras.
