Meyer-Näkel 2022 Illusion Spätburgunder Blanc de Noir (white wine)

Regular price £23.90
"Peach skin and nuts. Dry, mouth-watering bitterness which takes me to the pink-red playground-streaked crunch of radicchio. Super-elegant. White pepper. Grapefruit. Crab apple. Little origami pleats of flavour unfold within a long sheath of aloof acidity. Pretty sophisticated."

Wine: This white wine is made of from red grapes - in France this is known as Blanc de Noir - yet it has a bouquet and taste typical of a Pinot Blanc. It has creamy aromas of ripe fruits like apple, pear, peach and melon with fine hints of lemon. It is soft yet has a lively acidity.

Vinification: Hand picking. A . The red grapes are gently pressed to avoid coloring of the white juice through mechanical treatment of the skins where the color is situated. Cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
