Wine: Schloss Reinhartshausen's wines from "Island Mariannenaue" are one of the kind and very exclusive. The vines grow on the washed-up gravel and meadow loam, whilst benefiting from the balanced climate of the River Rhine.
The "Red Riesling", from the Rhine Valley, was first documented in 1490, but drifted into obscurity at some point thereafter. It has enjoyed a notable revival over the past two decades, becoming a cult specialty. The grapes are left to ferment on the skins, imbuing them with a gorgeous shade of salmon pink.
Schloss Reinhartshausen's 2021 Red Riesling dry is an exquisite gustatory experience.
