Vineyard: The grapes for this dry Spätburgunder are from vines that are 19 to 43 years old. The vines are grown in soil that is rich in limestone, as well as loam and clay.
Vinification: The grapes were carefully picked by hand. Before pressing, the grapes were macerated for 14 to 21 days to extract all the flavours and aromas from the skins. The juice was fermented in oak barrels, deepening the wine's flavour and complexity. Afterwards, it was let on the lees for almost 18 months.
