The flagship of Göttelmann's Rieslings, the grapes were grown in one of the best sites, southbound, steep, sheltered from the cold wind of Hunsrück mountains and surrounded by a wall, so the youngest daughter of the next Göttelmann generation suggested to call this vineyard "Le Mur", which sounds much nicer then "Die Mauer" or "The Wall".

This vineyard was pented 15 years ago, the average yield is about 50 hl/ha, picking starts in the last week of October or even in the first week of November. The wine was fermented and matured with indigenous yeast in huge oak casks. it has been filled after long contact with the yeast in May. The number of filled bottles were 1700.

The wine has an intense aroma of peaches. It has a little residual sugar that creates a multi-dimensional white wine with a long aftertaste.

The perfect accompaniment to fish, crustacean and pasta dishes rich in basil.
