This fresh dry Riesling shows a light yellowish colour in the glass, and little sparkling bubbles indicate a lively freshness. The bouquet could be described as tropical, with fruity aromas of lychee and white currant. The wine's acidity is perfectly balanced by its slight sweetness.
The grapes were grown in south-east facing vineyards just a few kilometres from the mouth of the river Nahe, where the wild romantic Middle Rhine Highlands begin. Typical of this area, it soil is rich in black slate. This creates optimum growing conditions as the slate soil stores the sun's warmth. The vines here are between 12 and 30 years old.
Grapes were hand picked during the second week of October. Fermentation and maturation took place in temperature controlled steel tanks.
Food recommendation: The freshness of this wine makes it the perfect accompaniment to fish, veal and poultry.
