This dry Riesling has aromas of peach and apricot. Its slight residual sugar is perfectly balanced by the wine's fresh acidity.
The Riesling grapes are grown in a valley by the Nahe river. The vineyards there are very steep and south-facing, creating optimum growing conditions. The volcanic soil is slightly red in colour, which is an indication for iron, a substance that gives the wine its fruity aromas.
Hand picked in the middle of October, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured in large oak barrels.
Food recommendation: This white wine is the perfect accompaniment to light meat, lean pork and veal.
