Kochan & Platz 2020 Dornfelder PLATZhirsch QbA dry
"Kochan & Platz have defined not only our rigid Mosel-is-Riesling assumptions, but also the assumption that Dornfelder is an inferior grape. Their Dornfelder red is another lip-smacking, glou-glou, heart-stealing wine-for-foodies at an equally heart-stealing price.
Cheeky cherry and cherry blossom. This is really fun, frivolous and pretty and juicy. Delicious. Chill?! Exactly the kind of wine I am always looking for when it comes to everyday food (especially chilli dishes) and summer reds..." / Tamlyn Currin @ Jancis Robinson / 16 points
This dry Dornfelder has an intense aroma of ripe sweet cherry, plum and raspberry jam. A typical Dornfelder, it is dark in colour, fruity, appealing and palatable. This makes it suitable for many occasions, and can even served slightly chilled in summer.
