This dry Riesling has a racy slate minerality. A classic Riesling, is it fruity, juicy, fresh and elegant.
The Riesling grapes of this wine were harvested by hand in early October, after a very long period of vegetation. After a mashing time of approximately three hours, the grapes were gently pressed and partially fermented with natural yeast under temperature controlled conditions.
Vineyard: For the Estate Riesling "Grauschiefer" the grapes were harvested from vineyard sites in Niederhäuser Steinwingert and Rosenheck. The vines are around 15 years old and the soil is characterised by very large slate plates, which store heat well.
