Vineyard: South-east facing vineyard with a total surface of 15,3ha. 0,75ha is hold by the Bassermann-Jordan Estate. The name is given by the black Basalt stones which origins are volcanic.

Soil: Volcanic stones named Basalt with sandy clay and loam, partly some limestone.

Wine: The grapes were harvested in several stages from the. mid, until the end of October. Pressed separately and very carefully. Fermented in different wooden casks and left on the first yeast until bottling at the 17th of July.
