This organic Grand Cru dry Riesling has a decent fruity, yeasty taste with a lovely acidity. It has nutty, mixed fruit, slightly citric aromas, with herbaceous notes.
The site of the “Hohenmorgen” vineyard is situated at the western brim of the town of Deidesheim. Deidesheim is the historical centre of quality wine-making in the Palatinate area, in the Pfalz region.
The vineyard is on a south facing slope and only 2,76 ha, making it the smallest and most exclusive vineyard of Deidesheim. The soil there is rich in pure eroded sandstone soil.
