Vineyard: Situated on the western brim of Deidesheim, the Hohenmorgen is one of the oldest Examples for palatinate quality wine making. Hohenmorgen is a south facing slope with a total surface of 2,76 ha. 2,09 ha are owned by the Bassermann-Jordan Estate. It is the smallest and the most exclusive vineyard of the Deidesheim with the highest rated quality of soil.
Tasting notes: This fresh and elegant white wine has a deliciously balanced minerality and acidity. On the nose it has aromas of apricot, pear, quince, lemon zest and orange.
Winemaking: Selective harvest by hand in several passages. Complete spontaneous fermentation: 10% fermented in traditional oak barrel, 90% in stainless steel.
Soil: Loam and sandy-loam with lots of eroded sandstone.
Food recommendation: As a starter to your dinner or paid with desserts.
Alcohol: 9,0% vol.
