German wines shine in the world’s largest wine competition, winning platinum and gold medals in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2019.

The WineBarn were delighted to host their 19th Annual Portfolio Tasting this February at the Army & Navy Club in London. The exquisite 'Grip the Grape' tasting event took guests on a journey of German wine discovery. With over 120 wines on offer, there was something for everyone.

Founded in 1492, Aldinger winery is steeped in history. With rich experience passed from generation to generation, the estate in now run by brothers Hansjörg and Matthias, who are fueled by passion and driven to create the finest German wine imaginable. Hansjörg is a master of the vines, whilst Matthias, an oenologist, is an expert in the cellar.

The WineBarn took guests on a fascinating sampling journey through seven historic decades of the finest German Riesling at their Schloss Reinhartshausen Masterclass at the Army & Navy Club in London this November.
