The WineBarn are delighted to have won the prestigious IWC Award 2019 for ‘Specialist Merchant of the Year for Germany’. We’re very proud to say it’s the fourth year in a row that we’ve won. Often referred to as the ‘Oscars of the Wine Trade’, the IWC awards are one of the most respected wine competitions in the world.

The Bischel wine estate has been run by brothers Christian and Matthias Runkel - the “Bischel Boys” - since 2006 and recently became a member of the prestigious VDP - an organisation of around 200 of Germany’s most elite wine producers.

German wines shine in the world’s largest wine competition, winning platinum and gold medals in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2019.
