Bassermann-Jordan's Estate Riesling is the entry into their VDP Classification pyramid. It shows their house style and the terroir of their vineyards.
This is a typical Palatinate Riesling with fine fruit flavours, elegant acidity and gripping minerality.
After the harvest, the individual batches were pressed and fermented separately. Fermentation took place exclusively in chilled stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruity, fresh nature of this wine. The wine remained on the lees until filling.
This wine is crisp and characteristic on the nose right from the start with fresh apple, apricot and pineapple. With its light minerality and fruit, it is both lively and harmonious on the tongue and palate and provides a powerful aftertaste.
A wine that promises uncomplicated enjoyment for every occasion. From a cozy evening on the terrace, to vespers or as an accompaniment to poultry and fish.
The grapes come from different locations around Deidesheim, Ruppertsberg and Frost. The soil there is are characterised by red sandstone, loam, clay, limestone and loess.
